Crap

Yeah crap.

I was going to be all studious and create a post with best basic hoop tricks anyone should know but then I was like “fuck it, I just don’t feel like doing the work.”

Once a slacker always…

Hooppain practice was nice this week, Kahuna found his groove once again, and Mari did her thang. She did it so much her weave fell out. H to the E to the LLZ YEAH.

Bay Area Hoopers was interesting…there was a lack of original hoop designs. Kinda sad. I could be being a bit too critical though, but maybe not. To combat my fear I just ordered a travel hoop from the original Hoop warrior Anah. I wonder if she even still makes hoops. Why the hell is she in LA not SF?

In other news, my friend Squelchy just released an album. I’m so happy for him, he’s been in the Bay Area DJ scene for quite some time, and knowing his DJ sets and his record collection; I can only imagine good things with this album, Sometime is Now.

Oh, did I mention that you can download his album for free?

He writes:

“The album is part goth disco, part glam rock, part emo-tronica and all personal – drawing influence from a long list of artists from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, including: Brian Eno, David Bowie, Roxy Music, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Ulrich Schnauss, The Cocteau Twins, The Smiths, The Cure, OMD, Depeche Mode, New Order, Soft Cell, Peter Gabriel, The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., Mercury Rev, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Of Montreal, Figurine, John Tejada, Matthew Dear and Trentemoller.”

That’s two ass-fuls of influence.

In honor of Anah, I’m adding a moniker to myself in addition to my nickname Queen Pain. It’s in the sign off.

xo — Christian Rave Warrior Princess aka Queen Pain … wait.

Christian Rave Warrior Princess aka Queen Pain (now that’s a fucking name)
